Project Cuidar (Care)

 

Juicy Fruits Ministry & Steps of Gold Dance Academy

 

Juicy Fruits Ministry partnered with Steps of Gold, Inc. to help support and expand the Folklorico and Latin Jazz Dance Academy Program to elementary, youth and college level students who are financially challenged. Many local community families with low to moderate income can not afford tuition, costume or travel cost. Steps of Gold is currently serving middle to working class families with Elementary, Jr. High and College Level students; educating participants in Hispanic History and Cultural Awareness, by unifying families and communities through numerous performances.

 

 

Juicy Fruits Ministry and Steps of Gold Dance Academy supports the development of:

 

·                     Character – To respect fellow students, instructors and peers

 

·                     Courage – To appreciate the ability to perform in front of a live audience

 

·                     Commitment – To work hard and support group efforts as a Dance Team

 

Project Cuidar (Care)

 

Project Cuidar Scholarship Program was created to help sponsor students through a dance and theater program designed to provide visual and performing arts. Students interested in involving themselves to perform and encourage families by creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration through the art of music and dance. Our specific target ages are 5 –25 years of age.

 

Project Cuidar (Care) - Elementary Program

 

Supports qualifying students in need of a discounted and/or free program

Students will experience and learn the aspects of Dance Theater Production

Students will learn basic skills including: social skills, motor skills, and the ability to work together as a team.

 

Students will receive mentoring from caring instructors who are willing to invest their time and efforts to help build positive attitudes and develop a tolerance for structure programs

 

Project Cuidar (Care) is dedicated to help prevent financial barriers for students and families in hardship.

 

Nino de Oro (Child of Gold) is successful in developing a child’s self-worth, by taking the initiative to invest in their futures.

 

Project Cuidar (Care) is FREE to eligible participants with Low to Moderate incomes

 

The Steps of Gold Dance Academy objectives are to help build children’s self-confidence and motivation to pursue greater success in their education and future careers.

 

 

Project Cuidar (Care) – Youth and College Level

 

Supports qualifying students in need of a discounted and/or free program

Experience and learn all aspects of Dance/Theater Production (including: set design, lighting, sound, stage management, directing, costumes, public relations and marketing

 

Students can take responsibility to serve our younger generations with examples of leadership in performing arts, uniting strong alliances by influencing proper social structures; and building children’s self-esteem.

 

Job Training Opportunities through volunteer clerical services and assisting class instructors

 

Students will learn basic employment skills including:  social skills, problem solving, conflict management and resolution.

 

Students will receive mentoring from caring instructors who are willing to invest their time and efforts to help build confidence and courage to achieve short and long term goals in a positive entertainment industry.

 

Project Cuidar (Care) is dedicated to help prevent financial barriers for students and families in hardship.

 

Project Cuidar (Care) is FREE to eligible participants with Low to Moderate incomes

 

 

How to Help

Sponsor Annual Tuition Cost of $600.00 / 12 months = (4) Monthly One Hour Class Sessions
